After receiving the Certificate of Eligibility, the applicant must file it alongside a completed Affidavit signed before a notary and a Petition to Seal or Expunge Form with the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court. The filing fee is $42.00 payable by cash, credit card, money order, or cashier's checks. Applicants who cannot afford this fee can apply for a fee waiver. The petitioner should call the Criminal Department at (772) 462-6943 to find out the judge who will be assigned to their case, and to arrange for a hearing date/time on the court's calendar.
